The Course of Medical Literature Retrieval

The course of literature retrieval is to teach the students how to make use of literatures and search for information, and then enhance their ability of self-learning and scientific research. This course has been offered for a long time in the library and has got favorable result.
1. Staffs
There are over ten full time teachers, includes quite a few professors and associate professors.
2. Teaching Facilities
There are varieties of CD-ROM databases in the library, includes: MEDLINE, CBMdisc, CMCC, EMBASE: Drugs&pharmacology, Nature:CD-ROM, Chinese Sci-tech Journals database(Chongqing), TCM literature CD-ROM database, CSCI etc.
There are over 40 kinds, 2000 volumes of reference books specially ordered for students' practice. And there are many terminals for Internet searching and CD-ROM network searching.

Textbooks edited and published: "Medical Literature Retrieval"(National Defense Science and Technology University Publishing House, 1993); "Medical Reference Books"(Hunan Science and Technology Publishing House, 1993); four kinds of "Practice Guide for Medical Literature Retrieval Course" for undergraduate and graduate. Textbooks or Books participated in edit: national textbook for medical library and information science "Medical Science and Technology Literature Retrieval"(Chinese Geology University Press, 1989); "Classify of Medical Literature"(National Defense Science and Technology University Publishing House, 1995); "Medical Computer Simulation and Application" (Sanhuan Press, 1990)
