Circulation and Reading Service

The Chinese stack, foreign language stack, teacher's reading room and student's reading room that affiliated to the circulation department take open access policy.
(1) Loan:
1.The Chinese stack and the foreign language stack are on the second floor, and there is a loan desk for each stack. The collection covers Chinese and foreign language books of science and social science, but mainly of medical science.
2.Ccomputerized circulation system is used in circulation. Besides loan and return books, services such as taking back the library card while he/she leaving school, reporting the loss of library card, compensating for the loss or damage of the book, borrower's preengagement and so on.
3.The card application desk is in the foreign language stack on the second floor. Staffs can apply for a library card by his/her employee's card; the freshmen in the same class shall apply for the card together while entering the school; students in advanced studies and approved outside readers must deposit ￥200 before applying for the card.
4.Staffs (includes those of the affiliated hospital), graduates and students in program of seven years of the school can borrow 8 books of sci-tech (includes 3 foreign language books), 1 of literature or arts, 1 of biography. Other students can borrow 4 books of sci-tech(includes 1 foreign language book), 1 of literature or arts and biography. Students in advanced studies and outside readers can only borrow 3 books of sci-tech. One can only borrow books by his/her own card and can keep the books for no more than 1 month (15 days for books of literature or arts and biography), and there is no renewing.

(2) Read
1.The teacher's reading room is on the western side of the third floor. There are varieties of hardcovers and reference books in this reading room. It's mainly for the staffs and graduates.
2.The student's reading room is on the eastern side of the forth floor. Besides books of medical science, sci-tech, social science, reference etc, there are also many collections of test paper and masterpieces of literature. It's mainly for the students.
The books in the reading room are only for reading but not lending.
